FWC HISTORY
Family Worship Center Port Orange began in 1984 by Tom Dubois, who was the founding pastor. Tom and his wife Patty started FWC in their home. They launched Family Worship Center with two other couples; Tom’s son Ray Dubois, his wife, and Sam and Nancy Spears. Tom and Patty, Ray, and Sam are graduates from RHEMA Bible College in Tulsa, OK.
Tom & Patty were married for over 60 years and had seven adult children, close to 20 grandchildren and even great grandchildren. They retired in 2009 and demonstrated a model of integrity among the community and Christian leaders worldwide. After Tom retired, Ray Dubois became the Lead Pastor from 2009 until April of 2017.
John and Cathy Mazza worked in youth ministry for over 30 years, and they have served as family pastors. Cathy has overseen various ministries, including preschool, toddler, infant, and women’s. John was a music minister for 10 years and was the young adult ministry for over 5 years, along with his involvement in various other ministries within the church. Both John and Cathy are graduates from RHEMA Bible College in Tulsa, OK. They accepted the position of Lead Pastors of Family Worship Center Port Orange on May 20, 2017.
In February 2020, Tom went home to be with the Lord, leaving a tremendous legacy of faith that he imparted to the generations and the nations worldwide to this day. Patty is still a member of Family Worship Center and makes herself available to assist with the council to the current Lead Pastors.
