Lead Pastor

John, along with his wife Cathy, are the lead pastors of Family Worship Center. Born in Manhattan, raised in Queens, NY, he moved to Florida at the age of ten with his father and brother. John is a graduate of RHEMA Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has served faithfully in several capacities right here at Family Worship Center. He was a youth worker for 11 years before becoming the youth pastor, for which he served for 19+ years. He also served as the music minister and helped lead praise and worship for 20+ years. John and Cathy stepped in as lead pastors in May 2017. John believes, “if you still have breath in your lungs, then God is not through with you!”, and “You are created on purpose, with a purpose, and for a purpose.” He desires to see the people of Family Worship Center step into their true destiny, impacting the city of Port Orange, and the world, by simply “loving God and loving People.” John and Cathy presently reside in Port Orange, Florida with their three children. They consider it an absolute honor to serve God and the people of Family Worship Center as the pastors.

Fun facts about Pastor John:

• Dated his wife Cathy for 11 years before getting married to her in November of 1998. He says, “I literally married my dream girl!”

• A hardcore Buffalo Bills fan.

• Absolutely loves his family with all his heart. “The lives of your children are the most important sermon a pastor can ever preach.”

• Loves Marvel over DC, but his favorite TV series of all time is Smallville.

• Favorite superhero is Spider-Man but drinks water like Aquaman. He always has a bottle of water in his hand.

• Favorite thing to do is spend time with his wife and kids, hanging out laughing it up.

• Loves binge-watching episodes of The Office with his three kids.

• Is a 1980-90 wrestling entertainment fan and may still watch WWE in his downtime today.

• Loves helping people achieve what they thought was a dream, and seeing it to come to life.
