Sam Spears
Staff Pastor
Sam was born in Illinois but moved to Florida at nine years of age. After a season in the Navy, Sam gave his life to Jesus and answered the call of God. He met Nancy soon after, and they were married and began their life together as ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They decided to attend Rhema to become equipped for God’s call on their lives. They then returned to Daytona Beach to help start a church with Pastor Tom and Patty Dubois. Sam developed the children’s ministry in the new church and continued to serve as Children’s Pastor for 25 years. They have been blessed to watch children grow up and become mighty men and women of God. They are honored to assist Pastor John and Cathy Mazza as they answer God’s call on their lives.
Fun facts about Pastor Sam:
Rode a horse at 5 years old and learned to get up and get back on.
Loves children and dogs.
Grew up surfing, hunting and fishing.
Is an aircraft technician and pilot working at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
Loves God, His word and prayer.
Finds fulfillment and joy in teaching children.
